Mask Up Lagos

As part of our activities to cushion the effect of the global pandemic on the Vulnerable & Marginalized groups in our society. We embarked on a mission to provide little succour to 1000 households via door to door distribution of relief items across the 36 states and cash donations were sent to those we couldn’t reach.

We sensitized & distributed Re-usable mask in Lagos to promote #maskuplagos

This is our little way of bringing succour to those affected by Covid-19 lockdown.

DAMSY FOUNDATION’S OUTREACH IN LAGOS

The location of the Outreach was Idi-Araba, with Great Joy School, serving as our base. The Outreach Programme targeted the children on the street.

We had over 150 children and 50 adults in attendance. We shared cooked rice and chicken ( 150 pcs), Indomie noodles, water, toys, Educational books, school bag to children, Packaged semo and wheat, packaged oil( shared to adults). Shoes and clothes was also shared to adults and children. Baby cream, powder and soap was given to a pregnant woman. The smile on their faces was beyond and priceless. Initially, they thought we wanted to sell the items when they saw that some items were new but were surprised when we told them we are giving all the items for free. They were so happy and asked when we will visit them again and this kind of gesture is rare in their vicinity.

A child was picked( 5 years old and hasn’t been to school before) for the scholarship and awaiting the consent of her parents. They showed utmost gratitude and prayed for the Foundation. They also looked forward to seeing more visit from us. Part of our objectives is to promote interventions that ensures OVC are cared for and protected by their household, community, LGA and state to reduce their vulnerability poverty, hunger and diseases.

DAMSY FOUNDATION’S OUTREACH IN DELTA

The Jesus Kids Home For Disabled situated at No.18, Ifelodun Street, Monatan, Iwo Road, Ibadan, Oyo State, was chosen to be visited by members of the zone.

Donations were received from members and non members. The Ibadan Zone presented Rice(25KG),G.Oil(4ltrs),Yale Bread & Biscuits (2Cartons)and Toiletries, during our visit to the home.

The smiles on the faces of the Jesus Kids Home For Disabled, most especially my friend Omolara, she was just hugging me every second, who expressed their happiness to the act of kindness.

The management of the home also appreciated Damsy Foundation for their generosity and kindness towards them as well as prayers were offered for all the members of Damsy Foundation.

Part of our objectives is to promote interventions that ensures OVC are cared for and protected by their household, community, LGA and state to reduce their vulnerability poverty, hunger and diseases.

DAMSY FOUNDATION’S OUTREACH IN ABUJA

The outreach took place simultaneously in 4 states (Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan & Delta State) on the 7th December, 2019.

Abuja Zone Visited the IDP Camp, New Kuchingoro .

The IDP is a big camp, with small villages and a school inside and it also serves as a shelter for the homeless, Elders, Men, Women and Children. We had Rice, Tomato paste and some shoes to give out. Some of the kids were given shoes,while the rice and tomatoes paste was distributed. We were able to put smiles on their faces as most of them didn’t even know where their next meal will come from.

Part of our objectives is to promotes interventions that ensures OVC are cared for and protected by their household, community, LGA and state to reduce their vulnerability poverty, hunger and diseases.

COUPLES GETAWAY

COUPLES / FAMILY WEEKEND GETAWAY

The Getaway took place on the 27th – 29th of December, 2019 @ Atican Beach Resort, Lekki – Ajah, Lagos. Marriage is the foundation of every community. A happy home is the building block for a progressive society. When couples have access to the necessary skills and conducive environment they are able to communicate effectively and solve issues positively. It also provides an avenue for love, peace and happiness. MARRIAGE SEMINAR

As part of our objectives of building a community of happy homes, we also organized marriage seminar at Ikorodu on the 9th of November, 2019 to help married couples keep and ignite their marriage sparks. An avenue where couples learn how to cultivate, sustain and reignite their marriage sparks

We had Pastor Mrs Yomi Adewale as our guest speaker (Co Founder Family Booster Ministry Int’l )

To celebrate families by helping them keep their marriage spark and bond, we gave out 5k lunch date ticket to Mr & Mrs Adegbola.
