FOUNDER'S PROFILE

Owokodu Bukola is the Founder of Damsy Foundation (DF) with the vision of a society where people are protected, empowered and live their full potential in life.

She is an advocate of elimination of Gender Based Violence (GBV) including child sexual abuse, Female Genital Mutilation (FGN). She is passionate about restoring hope to devastated, marginalized and Vulnerable Groups particularly Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) by improving access to quality education, health care and nutrition through advocacy, sustainable & sensitization programs, seminars, conference and outreaches.

She left the banking job for humanitarian services and over the years she has touched the lives of beneficiaries through her health, empowerment, youth and educational development and OVC interventions.

She is a strong advocate for women. She believes every woman’s right should be protected. To further build her capacity she has done several online courses from reputable universities. Part of which is a course on International Women’s Health and Human Rights with Stanford School of Humanities and Science.

She is Women and girls’ rights defender under UNDP Spotlight Initiative

She is grassroot mobilizer for UNICEF on Malnutrition in Children and Measles Vaccine.

She has impacted over 4,000 youths across 7 States and through through volunteering

She is also an extraordinary role model whose everyday life revolves around her commitment in helping individual build a happy home and inspires the singles.

She loves coaching people who are business minded with entrepreneurship spirit. Her strength is her ability to energise and empower young entrepreneurs, and also inspired many with her write ups.

Owokodu Bukola is a Graduate of Business Administration and Management. A Certified Event Planner, Decorator, Business Coach, Inspirational Writer and an Entrepreneur
She is a wife and a mother of 2 adorable boys.
